I do have a few 'workflows' that just open webpages though. All the powerpack stuff like workflows and snippets or whatever I've found that Keyboard Maestro just does a lot better. Other than that I think you could probably get basic search for apps and files functionality out of spotlight. IINA (free, M1 optimized) IINA is a free and open-source media player for macOS. Another neat little trick is you can use Hazel to automatically convert downloaded WebP files to PNG. So if you are on a Mac mini and a MacBook Pro, you can replicate this productivity hack across both as I do. I'm so used to doing cmd + space > yt 3d graphics > enter. But this license allows you to use Hazel on up to two machines. I've got this setup for 10 or so diff searches I use including youtube, at this point I just have no idea how anybody does like, Launchpad > firefox > select url bar > 3d graphics. You can look for program files and perform web searches for IMDb, Wikipedia, Amazon and other popular sites. Once installed (which may not be a user-friendly experience for some), all you have to do is press Alt + Space to launch the app and begin searching. If I want google image results, I have a custom search set to just type img 3d graphics or whatever. Referred to as the 'Alfred for Windows' by many, Wox displays quick real-time results. By default alfred will put what I type into it into a google search, that is unless I type only the exact name of an app I have installed. The main thing that I got in the habit of that I just can't get out of spotlight is custom web searches. As far as I can tell there are no disadvantages to it besides having to go through the effort of installing it or paying if you want the powerpack stuff.
